Project in Nigeria

,Islam was introduced into the country back in the 11th century and Christianity came to the region in the mid 19th century. Emblaze Ministries has been exploring expansion into the country of Nigeria since 2019. Nigeria is a country known for civil rights violations, but religion is deeply valued in both families and society at large. According to a 2019 survey, the number of practicing Muslims is approximately equal to the number of Christians, and Indigenous beliefs make up 10 percent of the population.

Islam is primarily practiced in the northern part of the country and Christianity is primarily in the southern part. This often creates conflict with muslim extremists attacking christian villages and travellers. Boko Haram, a terrorist group has spread terror throughout the North , attacking villages, kidnapping women and children, and wiping out entire villages. We currently have 20 pastors stationed in the North, reaching out to the muslim community and spreading the gospel.

By Supporting The Needs in This Country

The greatest way we help the church grow on the mission field is to help the pastors and church leaders. In turn, they can better minister to their congregations and reach out to the lost.
